Remarks The genus Ogygopsis is also found in British Columbia in an area near the Burgess Shale named the Ogygopsis Shale because of the commonality of the genus there. Ogygopsis is also unusual among Cambrian trilobite because the pygidium is macropygous, that is, the pygidium is the larger than the cephalon.
