Acanthopyge consanguinea

Trilobites Order Lichida, Suborder Lichina, Superfamily Lichoidea, Family Lichidae
Geologic Age: Lower Devonian
Trilobite is 15 mm long
Haragan Formation, Coal County, Clarita, Oklahoma
Remarks: Also referred to as Bug X prior to formal description, Acanthopyge consanguinea is a most rare Oklahoma trilobite. If you think it looks rather like Lobopyge from Morocco, you would be correct. The reason is a striking example of trilobite paleogeography.
